I have loved the art of the camera for as long as I can remember.
Since I was a little girl, I have loved sitting on the floor of my parents bedroom going through my dad’s old film photos from his travels. Photo’s of mountains, rivers, animals of all kinds, you name it. I would study them, in absolute awe of the magic of a moment captured so effortlessly. Safe to say, I was hooked.
I studied Telecommunications and Film at The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) and graduated with a Bachelor of Art in Communication and a minor in creative writing. When capturing and editing footage for a project, my favorite part was always finding the best camera angles, and ways to get the most creative b-roll for the finished product. Fast forward to graduation, I moved to Nashville, Tennessee and found myself in the world of weddings and events. I absolutely LOVED it. After a wedding, I would sit on the floor of my apartment remaking floral arrangements until the wee hours of the morning. My creative spirit couldn’t get enough. The day that we received photos back from an event, though, was always the best part for me. I would always think to myself, “That is what I need to be doing.”
After push from family and friends, I finally decided to make my lifelong dream of being a full-time photographer a reality. I now reside in the beautiful city of Charleston, South Carolina with my husband (Brooks) and our golden retriever (Lilly). When I am not out beebopping behind the camera, you can find me on the boat with my husband and our pupperino, or on a patio drinking Rosé with friends. I have a rooted love for traveling, and exploring new cities by foot. I also have a deep love for chicken fingers, so spotting me in the Chick-Fil-A drive-though is not far fetched either.
